In the midst of a holiday season overshadowed by Covid-19 and an economic downturn, Friends of Public School Harlem is working to provide cheer to Harlem’s children and families. The organization has donated 30 toys to this year’s Wagner Toy Distribution, an event to provide toys to children in need during the holidays. The event is just one of multiple toy drives that FPSH is participating in this year — a tradition that has been ongoing for more than 15 years.
The event will take place at the Wagner Greenspace located at 451 120th Street on Friday, December 11th at 4:30 pm. Other event partners include The 4 Future Generations Entrepreneurship & Leadership Foundation and Roseburgh & Associates, Inc.
“We’re always looking for ways to give back to Harlem,” says Jerry Migdol, FPSH President and Founder. “We’ve been giving toys away during the holidays for years but the difficult times at play right now make this year’s work even more important.”
The event is being held on a first come first served basis. Mask usage and social distancing will be in enforced.
