FPSH Hosts Annual Christmas Gift Giveaway

Friends of Public School Harlem is proud to announce another of its annual Christmas Gift Giveaways. The event builds on more than 15 years of distributing gifts to children in need and will be conducted with sponsorship and support from The Migdol Organization and FDNY’s Vulcan Society.

The event will take place Wednesday, December 23rd, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm outside on Lexington Avenue between 130th and 131st Streets. In addition to gifts, the organization will provide cocoa, doughnuts, and other seasonal festivities. Adults are encouraged to bring children in need of gifts this holiday season. Strict mask usage and social distancing will be enforced.

FPSH Board Member Korey Wise of “The Exonerated Five” will be in attendance. Other invited dignitaries include: Councilman Bill Perkins, Congressman Adriano Espaillat, State Senator Brian Benjamin, Assemblyman Robert Rodriguez, Former 1775 House TA President Jim Ratti, AK Houses TA President Ann Marie Vazquez, Jackie Robinson Houses TA President Birdie Glenn, MS Houses TA President Wanda Hopkins

About the Organization

Founded by President Jerry Migdol, Friends of Public School Harlem is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization created to support Harlem’s public schools and students. The organization has donated more than $900,000 in supplies in support of this mission and has directly impacted more than 30,000 Harlem residents. The organization also regularly holds events to support the Harlem community, including holiday get-togethers, toy drives, grocery giveaways, and Covid-19 safety distributions.
